A wildly suspicious theory gets read out, and the table scrambles to explain it with a straight face. Four hundred cards across three decks means the theory, the explanation and the advice never line up the same way twice, and the best round of the night is always the one where somebody genuinely convinces the room. A Thrilly party card game.

What is actually in the box

  • Three decks in one box — conspiracy, explanation and highly experimental advice — so combinations run into the thousands
  • Rewards the friend who can argue anything, which makes it the loudest talking game we print
  • Built for the group that already sends each other documentaries at midnight
  • Dark comedy rather than shock: the cards are plausible on purpose, which is the funny part

How a round goes

  1. Read the conspiracy card out loud. Keep a straight face; it helps.
  2. Everybody plays an explanation card that makes the theory sound reasonable.
  3. Defend yours. This is the part of the evening the game actually exists for.
  4. The table awards the round, then somebody plays an advice card and ruins everything.

Who it suits, and who it does not

Buy it for

Groups with at least two people who love the sound of their own reasoning, fans of dark comedy decks, and the friend who has a position on whether birds are real.

Skip it if

Tables that want quick rounds — the arguments are the point and they run long. Reviewers also advise reading the deck first if any of your friends hold their theories sincerely rather than as a bit.

The honest bit

Our most recent adult deck and the one with the widest spread of reactions. The reviews that love it describe an evening that went completely off the rails; the lukewarm ones describe a group that wanted to play a card game and got a debate club. Both are accurate descriptions of the same box, so pick according to which of those sounds like your Friday.

Making Conspiracy Theory’s Fun!

This game is not only fun & entertaining as can be but so funny and my friends want to come over and play it again before we go out. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun game night and or pre party session with friends and family.

Fun, Funny, and a Great Conversation Starter

Tinfoil Hat Club is a really fun adult party game, especially if your group likes conspiracy theories, weird hypotheticals, and conversations that can go completely off the rails. It’s easy to get into and definitely helps pass the time without feeling repetitive. What I like most is that it actually makes you think and talk instead of everyone just staring at cards and waiting for their turn.

Absolutely Hilarious, but Your Conspiracy Theorist Friends Might Not Appreciate It!

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this game, but I have several friends who are practically certified conspiracy theorists, so I thought this might be a hilarious game to bring out at a gathering. After looking through the cards, however, I realized that those particular friends might not appreciate the humor quite as much as I do!

What this Thrilly party card game is, and what the listing says

Tinfoil Hat Club is a card game of invented conspiracies, played with the whole table talking over each other. No board, no figures, no accessories, nothing collectible, no mobile tool or second screen — a deck containing prompts and a page of rules is the entire set. Players pitch a theory, the room makes an educated guess about who actually believes it, and the action is the argument that follows. If you want the box where hands race for a sticky hand and the loser takes a sip, that is the other title on the adult shelf, and the family shelf is quieter still.

The numbers on this page — players, minutes, age on the lid, the latest price — are based on the partner shop listing at our last check. Stock on this one has been thin before, it gets restocked when it is popular, and the shop page is the authority on both price and availability; the result there overrides anything cached here. We have personally played it enough to know which prompts land. Tracking a parcel is a job for your order page, and the theory stays shared property of whoever shouted loudest.
